In the direction of environmental conservation, Central Railway is set to complete an important milestone of planting one crore saplings. Under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign, Central Railway has so far planted 99 lakh 99 thousand saplings. The target of planting a total of 2 crore saplings has been set during the current financial year 2026-27 under the leadership of General Manager Nareesh Pal Singh. Under this campaign, which started on 5 June, World Environment Day, the planting of the historical one croreth sapling is being carried out. On this occasion, the target of planting 11 lakh saplings in more than 300 stations and railway colonies of Central Railway has also been set.
