In Lalitpur, farmers are excited about booking agricultural machinery under the Agriculture Mechanization Mission scheme during the Dussehra festival. Farmers are registering online at their nearest Common Service Centers (CSC). Under the scheme, bookings are being made for several machines including combine harvesters, farmer drones, custom hiring centers, farm machinery banks, crop residue management plants, grass cutting machines, and agricultural protection equipment. Farmers are also visiting equipment sales centers to get information about quality and subsidies. Farmers say it has become easier to avail the scheme's benefits due to token allocation based on first come, first served. Meanwhile, agricultural machinery distributors say better quality equipment is available for farmers. CSC incharge Aniket said farmers can easily make bookings through registration numbers and OTPs.
