M-Strip app strengthens patrolling Tourist movement increases in Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi

Mandla, October 07: After the elimination of Naxals, security arrangements and the activity of forest staff have increased in Kanha Tiger Reserve. Regular patrols are being conducted in sensitive areas during the day and night. The M-Strip patrolling application has strengthened foot patrols through technology. Teams of range officers, SDOs and field staff are keeping watch in the area all night. This also ensures surveillance over sensitive areas of the reserve along with the protection of wildlife. The improved security environment is also showing an impact on tourism. There has been an increase in tourist movement in the Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi areas. 33 percent of tourism revenue goes to eco-development committees, which is being used for development works in forest villages.
