Continuous rainfall has been ongoing in different areas of South 24 Parganas for the past two days due to a low-pressure system. The intensity of rain and strong winds is relatively higher in Sundarbans coastal areas. Civil defense personnel are conducting mike operations in various beaches including Gangasagar and Bakkhali. Meanwhile, ferry services in several areas have been suspended due to turbulent rivers and seas for safety reasons. Authorities are monitoring the situation.
