The Bathukamma festival will begin today in Telangana. The state-wide celebrations will be held in cities, towns, and villages until the 18th of this month for nine days. Women in every house will place Bathukamma with natural flowers... and make Gauramma with turmeric and kumkum, worshiping with devotion. Processions will go to the village squares, temple premises, and stages, where Bathukamma is danced. At night, they immerse in water bodies with devotion. The festival begins with the Eengili Pooja Bathukamma and ends with the Suddu Bathukamma. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that the Bathukamma festival is a symbol of Telangana culture and a beloved festival for girls. He conveyed his good wishes to all women on the occasion of the beginning of the Bathukamma festival.
