Akilesh Yadav, SP chief, participated in the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha organised by SP leader Pawan Pandey in Krishnapur village upon arriving in Ayodhya. Akhilesh Yadav took the blessings of the Vyasa Mandap and spoke on political issues along with the religious message. He said that Shrimad Bhagavat Katha teaches us to respect everyone equally and live with love. Akhilesh Yadav mentioned that Lord Shriram and Lord Shrikrishna are one form. He linked this with the concept of PDA by giving the example of Shrikrishna-Sudama's friendship. Akhilesh Yadav challenged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest the election from Ayodhya Vidhan Sabha seat. He said that SP has fielded Pawan Pandey from Ayodhya and the field is open, so Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should contest from Ayodhya. Akhilesh Yadav said that if SP comes to power, Ayodhya will be developed at a global level. He claimed the development of Ayodhya as a tourist and pilgrimage site. Also, he announced to give 40,000 rupees every year to women.
