Bangalore: IT-BT and e-Governance Minister Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the 'Bhashini' AI technology will be effectively used to provide government services to all in their mother tongue.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Bhashini' workshop for officials of various departments at Vikasa Soudha, he praised the team's achievement of bringing voice-based and translation technologies in more than 22 languages in a diverse country like India. There is influence of Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Urdu, Tulu, Bhaiya and other languages in the regions of Kalayana Karnataka, Karavali, Malenadu, Mysuru and Bayaluseeme in the state.

He said it is extremely necessary to provide government services in the language - dialect of all these regions. He advised officials to simplify more than 700 government services through the 'Praja Seva' and 'e-Governance' departments using the Bhashini AI technology.
